70,000 Petitioners Demand Protections for Truth-telling Contract Poultry Farmers

(WASHINGTON) – Perdue contract farmer Rudy Howell has collected more than 70,000 petition signatures urging Congress to ensure protections for poultry farmers who face reprisal for speaking out. The Food Integrity Campaign (FIC, a program of the Government Accountability Project) is backing Howell’s petition, which stems from industry-wide reports of retaliation against contract farmers who raise concerns.

UK rule of law undermined by EU agency threatening Bindmans’ client and solicitor with criminal prosecution

The retaliation campaign against whistleblower Maria Bamieh now includes the threat of criminal prosecution, made by an agency of the European Union. Ms. Bamieh’s attorneys have also been threatened with prosecution.  The threat is designed to annul Ms. Bamieh’s right to litigate on her own behalf by silencing her and all witnesses to the crimes that she reported.

(WASHINGTON) – Observers at the United Nations reported today to the Government Accountability Project (GAP) that Ban Ki-Moon has just announced an inquiry into allegations of sexual abuse against children in the Central African Republic (CAR).  The alleged perpetrators were French troops, deployed under UN Security Council resolution 2127.
