John Stuckert-Legal Intern

Originally from Cherry Hill, NJ, John studied at Drexel University before enrolling at Georgetown Law where he's now a rising 3L involved with the Office of Student Life. While originally pursuing an engineering degree in undergrad, he discovered his passion for criminal justice after taking a class on it and switched majors to political science. After graduation, John worked at a law firm and confirmed his interest in studying law. This summer, he is a Legal Intern at Government Accountability Project with David Seide and Bruce McWilliam where he supports the litigation team with legal research and fact-finding for active cases. John says that interning at Government Accountability Project has sharpened his research skills and helped clarify his interest in litigation. Currently, he is preparing for federal clerkship applications.

Paula Omokhomion – Development and Operations Intern

Born in California, Paula lived and grew up in Nigeria until 2021. Then, she moved to North Carolina to study Public Health Nutrition at UNC Chapel Hill. Currently, she is working on her master's degree in California in Public Policy where she also writes for her school paper. She developed a passion for public health after witnessing the lack of public health service in Nigeria and holds a personal philosophy that everyone should have access to health services regardless of where you are from. With the Development and Operations team, she assists with grant writing, foundation research, and constituent management. Eventually, Paula would like to own a non-profit that gives out grants, provides health services, and offers social programming to low- and middle-income countries. In her free time, Paula enjoys reading and writing and is even a published author! After her internship, Paula will transition into her role as a Lutheran Volunteer Corps fellow on our staff.

Eddie Burns- Legal Intern

After receiving his Master of International Political Economy in London, Eddie began his journey at Georgetown Law Center where he is currently a rising 3L. Taking a "Law & Economics" course while studying as an undergraduate at the University of San Francisco led him down the path to pursue his interest in law. Along with John and a few other Legal interns, David and Bruce have given Eddie hands-on experience with litigation and the flow of trial and the court systems. While exploring litigation, Eddie is continuing to look out for his dream career in the public sector, specifically within the Federal Trade Commission.

Tara Davoodi- Legislative Intern

As a Legislative Intern, Tara has been able to follow her passion for politics and activism while in her final year at University of Maryland. Currently studying Government and Politics with minors in Asian American Studies and Creative Writing, Tara has brought her experience from interning on Capitol Hill and passion to Government Accountability Project. Here, she has been excited to contribute to "important, impactful, and meaningful work" and learn more about the niche field of whistleblower protection and law. She is also studying for the LSAT to attend law school where she wants to lean into civil rights litigation and appellate law.

Abby Scheider- Legal Intern

Among being an article editor for the International Law Journal and participating in the Movement Lawyering Clinic, Abby continues to her 3L year at Cornell Law School. With a fascination and interest in navigating a complicated legal system and standing up for others, she is preparing for a fast-paced career in impact litigation or public interest law. Working alongside David and Bruce, her work conducting research into the organization's previous cases and investigating legal issues have been important in the litigation team's efforts. Government Accountability Project and David have helped her see the professional progress and impact of cases.

Dina Knott- Legal Intern

Hailing from Colorado, Dina stays busy at Cornell Law School as a publishing editor at the Law Review and a participant in the school's Labor Law Clinic. Her detail-oriented and problem-solving nature became the perfect combination to make a difference in the field of law. During her time at Government Accountability Project, she was exposed to important work in a fast-changing political climate with our litigation team. With aspirations to be an Impact Litigator, her internship has given her a firsthand look into what working in the field would look like and just how quickly attorneys must change directions.
