Law360 (September 17, 2021, 10:33 PM EDT) — House Republicans pressed U.S. health secretary Xavier Becerra to respond to “disturbing” whistleblower complaints of inhumane treatment of children, among other issues, stemming from mismanagement at a Texas emergency intake shelter for unaccompanied migrant youth, demanding in a letter Thursday that the secretary turn over contracts and other documentation for their inspection.
