“This is a company that hired a global expert to solve a problem and they wouldn’t let him do his job. And that’s actually the motivation for most whistleblowers, they’re not dissidents or just general critics, they’re trying to play it straight, honoring their professional responsibilities. And it appears from these allegations and charges that Twitter hired this expert to be a figurehead, to be window dressing, rather than to actually solve the company’s security breakdowns that could be addressed and could be dealt with and he knew how to do it but they wouldn’t let him.”
