Project Description

Emma Lyons is a current member of the Lutheran Volunteer Corps serving at Government Accountability Project as the education program associate.

Emma graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors from Wittenberg University in 2019 with a degree in political science and sociology and a minor in women’s studies. While at Wittenberg, they studied resistance strategies of women’s rugby players and interned with Project Woman, a nonprofit dedicated to ending domestic violence by providing resources to those facing domestic violence or sexual abuse. They are interested in feminist and queer resistance strategies and whistleblowing as a form of non-violent resistance
