Deputy Director of Legislation and National Security Analyst
Irvin is a National Security Analyst for Government Accountability Project, specializing in Intelligence Community and military whistleblowing. He supports investigations, legislation, and litigation within Government Accountability Project’s national security program.
He has worked with Congress to draft and support legislation awarding protections to Intelligence Community contractors and enhancing protections for military service members. He has represented whistleblowers, ranging from Army and Marine colonels to Intelligence Community contractors, to Inspectors General, Congress, and advocacy groups. Many of his investigations concern corruption within Inspectors General offices, intelligence community elements, and various government agencies.
Irvin joined Government Accountability Project after two summer internships as a legislative associate and a national security associate, where he built momentum around military and intelligence community whistleblower reform. Irvin was raised in Annapolis, MD, and earned a degree from Cornell University with honors.
