Mark Fiore is the first cartoonist to win a Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning for what was entirely an entry of online animations.
He also has been awarded a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award and an Online Journalism Award from the Online News Association and the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
He reported that he received death threats, apparently from Tea Party extremists, for his cartoon ‘Learn to speak Tea Bag’.
