GAP client and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) whistleblower Brandon Coleman has again been vindicated for his whistleblower disclosures! On December 5, Special Counsel Carolyn Lerner reported to President Barack Obama and Congress that Coleman’s whistleblower disclosures led to improvements in the care of suicidal patients at the Phoenix, Arizona VA!

In a press release from the Office of Special Counsel (OSC), Special Counsel Carolyn Lerner noted: “Mr. Coleman and Mr. Kinnaman likely saved lives by speaking up for the veterans in the Phoenix VA’s care. We owe them our gratitude. They prompted long-overdue changes to better protect veterans who are seeking help for their mental health and substance abuse issues. However, based on recent reports suggesting continuing problems, I urge the Phoenix VA to keep working with whistleblowers to improve veterans’ care.”
