WASHINGTON—Deputy Chief Administrative Appeals Judge for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Administrative Review Board under the Obama administration, E. Cooper Brown, joined Government Accountability Project on Thursday as the Director of Corporate Responsibility.
Judge Brown brings with him more than 25 years of experience in public interest litigation. He previously served as the Chief Administrative Appeals Judge on the District of Columbia’s Compensation Review Board where he was responsible for agency appellate adjudication of workers’ disability compensation claims. His expertise stems from over a dozen years of experience conducting agency appellate reviews of claims under federal laws governing the rights of private-sector employees, including laws governing the protection of whistleblowers.

“I’m very excited to have joined the Government Accountability Project team. From my years of experience presiding as an administrative appeals judge at the Labor Department, I know that Government Accountability Project offers the highest quality of legal advocacy on behalf of whistleblowers,” Judge Brown said. “I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
