Tomorrow, June 5th, is the one-year anniversary of the first media story based on NSA whistleblower and GAP client Edward Snowden’s revelations. When the public learned of NSA’s invasive and ineffective mass surveillance, hundreds of organizations, coalitions and individuals launched tools and campaigns aimed at holding the NSA accountable. As the nation’s leading whistleblower protection organization, GAP encourages advocates to join us in supporting ResetTheNet.org to publicize steps that individuals can take to stymie the agency’s ever-expanding privacy-violating activities.

As shown by the video below, ResetTheNet.org is asking web developers to pledge to add an NSA-resistant feature to their work. Internet users can also pledge to use at least one NSA-resistant privacy tool. Edward Snowden risked his life to empower the public with the knowledge to roll back the surveillance state. Help ensure Snowden’s whistleblowing results in meaningful change. Please watch the video below to find out how you can help!
