Toxic Hugs: Lack of Care with Corexit Medical Complications

Joseph was a courageous first responder at the oil spill. Without proper gear, he was exposed to Corexit, an oil dispersant with deadly side effects. Due to this exposure, he began experiencing gruesome life-threatening medical emergencies, including wounds that oozed the chemical. It didn’t take long for his wife, Jamie, to develop horrific symptoms through secondary exposure from touching his clothes, pillow, or just giving him a hug.
