The Nobel Peace Prize Watch has written an open letter to the The Stortinget (the Parliament of Norway), The Nobel Foundation in Stockholm and The Norwegian Nobel Committee in Oslo to demand that measures be taken to ensure that the Peace Prize serves the will of Alfred Nobel. The letter states:
“Nobel wished to support the movement and the persons who work for a demilitarized world, for law to replace power in international politics, and for all nations to commit to cooperating on the elimination of all weapons instead of competing for military superiority.”
GAP is pleased to announce that three GAP-affiliated whistleblowers have made the Nobel Peace Prize Watch’s List of True Nobel Candidates, including Daniel Ellsberg, Kathryn Bolkovac, and Edward Snowden.
